Who we are

This website, www.myteachersays.com, is operated by My Teacher Says Limited, a company registered in Scotland, company number SC760640. Our registered office is Clyde Offices, Suite 2/3, 2nd Floor, 48 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1BP, and our workshop is at Unit 5, 126 Cornwall Street South, Glasgow G41 1AF. You can reach us at support@myteachersays.com.

These terms cover two things: buying from us, and using the website. Our Shipping policy, Refund policy and Privacy policy form part of these terms. By using the website or placing an order you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use the website. You must be at least 18 to place an order.

Ordering from us

Every order is an offer to buy. Our acknowledgement email confirms we have received your order, not that we have accepted it; the contract between us is formed when we dispatch your order — or, for gift cards, when we email the gift card to you or to the email you nominated to receive it.
Before dispatch we may decline or cancel an order — including where there has been a pricing or product listing error, where we suspect fraud, or where personalisation requests something we cannot or will not produce. If we do, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling at checkout. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices. Delivery charges are shown before you pay. If we discover a genuine pricing error in an order you have placed, we will contact you to reconfirm at the correct price or cancel the order with a full refund.

Personalised and custom stamps

We make your stamp exactly as you give it to us, however it reaches us — typed when adding to your basket, written in your order notes, uploaded as an image, sent by email, or listed on a school order form — spelling, capitalisation and punctuation included. We do not check or correct what you supply, so please double-check it before you confirm your order.
A stamp that matches the details you supplied is not defective. Where an error originates in the details you gave us — including a spelling mistake, an incorrect name or a low-quality image — we accept no responsibility for it, and no return, replacement or refund is available on that basis.
Once production has started we cannot change or cancel a personalised or custom order, and because these stamps are made specifically for you they cannot be returned if you change your mind. This is the exemption for personalised goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 — see our Refund policy.
Your statutory rights are untouched where the fault is ours: if your stamp does not match what you submitted, or arrives faulty or damaged, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund, and we cover the postage both ways.

Using and caring for your stamp

Stamp ink is designed to make marks that are clear and, on many surfaces, permanent. We accept no liability for marks or staining caused to clothing, fabric, furniture, surfaces or any other item through use, misuse or accident, including impressions that cannot be removed.
Store your stamp capped and upright, at room temperature, and away from items it could stain. Damage or staining caused by misuse, accident or storage contrary to this guidance is not a defect.

The wording and images you give us

When you submit a name, phrase or image to go on a stamp, you warrant that you are entitled to use it, and that it does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights or contain anything unlawful or offensive.
We may decline to produce personalisation that we reasonably consider unlawful, offensive or infringing, and will refund the order in full if we do.
If a third party brings a claim against us arising from content you supplied, you agree to reimburse the losses and costs we reasonably incur as a result.

Gift cards

Gift cards are delivered by email and can be spent on anything on the site except another gift card. They expire 12 months from the date of issue, and they are not for resale.
Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires it. Keep the gift card code secure: we are not liable for value redeemed from a code that has been lost, stolen or shared.
An unused gift card can be cancelled for a full refund within 14 days of purchase; once any of it has been redeemed it is non-refundable. See our Refund policy.
If an order paid for with a gift card is cancelled or refunded, the refund goes back onto the gift card — not to cash or another payment method.
We may cancel a gift card, and any order placed with it, where the card was obtained fraudulently or the payment used to buy it is reversed.

Discounts and offers

From time to time we run discount codes and offers. Only one discount code can be used per order, and discounts cannot be combined or stacked unless the terms of a specific offer say they can. Discount codes cannot be used to buy gift cards.
Each offer's own conditions apply — dates, eligible products and any minimum spend. We may withdraw or amend an offer at any time; this never affects orders already placed.

School and organisation orders

Schools and organisations can order by invoice — through the website, by email or using our order form. However the order reaches us, these terms apply to it, and our contract is formed when we confirm your order in writing.
We confirm the order and any artwork with you first, then email your school an invoice, payable by bank transfer. A purchase order reference can be included on request.
Production begins once payment has been received in full. Please allow 5 working days for production, plus delivery.
School and organisation orders are business purchases, so the consumer cancellation rights described in our Refund policy do not apply to them. Goods that arrive faulty, damaged or incorrect will be repaired, replaced or refunded.

Product safety

Our stamps and ink are classroom tools for use by teachers — they are not toys. Stamp caps and ink pads are small parts, so please keep them out of reach of children under three.

Delivery, cancellation and returns

Delivery times, charges and destinations are in our Shipping policy. Your 14-day right to cancel, how to return an order and how refunds work are in our Refund policy, which also includes a cancellation form you can use.

If something goes wrong

If you are unhappy with anything, email support@myteachersays.com with your order number. We aim to respond within 5 working days and to resolve most complaints within 14 days. If we complete our complaints procedure and you remain dissatisfied, we will confirm this in writing, together with the name and website of a certified alternative dispute resolution provider who could consider the complaint and whether we are prepared to participate. If your complaint concerns how we have handled your personal information, you may also contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights; free, independent guidance is available from Citizens Advice.

Using this website

All content on this site — text, images, stamp designs, layout and code — belongs to My Teacher Says Limited or its licensors. You may browse the site and print or save pages for your own use. You may not copy, alter or reuse our content or designs commercially without our written permission, and you may not use the website in any way that damages it, interferes with another person's use of it, or is unlawful. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and your details accurate, and you must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used by someone else.

Our designs

Every stamp design we sell is our own original work, or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and design rights. Purchasing a stamp transfers ownership of the physical stamp only — not of the design on it.
You are free to use the impressions your stamp makes in your classroom and your pupils' work. You may not copy, trace, scan or otherwise reproduce our designs to make stamps or other products, or offer our designs for sale.
Our downloadable classroom resources are licensed free of charge for use in your own classroom. They may not be sold, adapted for sale, or redistributed as your own work.

Accuracy, links and cookies

We take care to keep the content of the site accurate, but errors and omissions may occur and we may correct or update content at any time. Product photographs are for illustration; screens reproduce colour differently, so ink colours may vary slightly from those shown. An obvious error on the site — including a pricing error — does not bind us; if one affects an order you have placed, we will contact you to reconfirm or cancel with a full refund, as described under Ordering from us.
The site contains links to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content.
We use cookies and similar technologies. What they do, and how we handle your personal information, is set out in our Privacy policy; you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the consent banner.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability the law does not permit us to exclude — and nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer. We are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our breach of these terms. We are not responsible for business losses, or for loss that was not foreseeable when the contract was made. The website is provided without any guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.

General

We may update these terms and our policies from time to time. The version published on the site when you place your order is the version that applies to that order; changes do not affect orders already placed.
You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours where we reasonably believe your rights will not be affected.
These terms, together with our Shipping, Refund and Privacy policies, are the entire agreement between us. No one else has rights under them (Contract (Third Party Rights) (Scotland) Act 2017).
If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. You can bring proceedings in the Scottish courts — and if you live in another part of the United Kingdom, in the courts where you live.
